Due
to the nature of kite surfing being 100% weather dependent, we will travel
to the best location for the day. Some common spots we go to are Orewa,
Pt Chev and as often as we can, the South Banks of the Manukau harbour,
a private spot for our use only, which is by far Auckland’s
best learning spot!
Only a 40-minute drive south from central Auckland, we get a private access,
through farmland, to a big playground of 8 square kilometers
with water going from knee deep to chest deep, making this spot truly remarkable
for safety! Widely open to an huge wind range (from a south-westerly
direction, through the north to an easterly direction!) this spot provides
us a clean and stable wind.
It is for us the most user-friendly spot in Auckland, if
not all New Zealand! Out there, there is:
NO other people, kiting, walking dogs...
NO dangerous obstacles like trees, roads, buildings...
NO surf or large waves...
NO dangerous currents or rips
NO nasty gusty winds created from land mass

We are
running the "intensive kiteschool" on
this unbelievable site, proposing accomodation in a cottage right on site
so you won't miss a thing!
